Site F1 – Organicfest at O’Brienview Organic Farm

Stop in to see our Heritage Berkshire Pigs, Black Angus and Belgian Blue cows, chickens, ducks and turkFeeding the pigs appleseys. All are raised organically on our family farm. Bring a cooler to buy some meat from our on-farm freezers.  Beef, pork, chicken and vegetables available.  Order your turkey for  Thanksgiving. Stay for lunch – Hamburgers or sausage on a bun.

Site F2 – Sheepfest at Crow Hill Farm
Our sheep are registered Corriedales, a dual purpose bred for both meat and wool. Collect eggs from our hen hHoney and eggs at Crow Hill Farmouse.  See the  sheep with their lambs, watch a traditional hand spinning demonstration & have a chance to try your own hand at spinning. See our honeybee yard & the honey room.  Frozen lamb, honey & eggs for sale from our farmgate stand.

Site F3 –Dairyfest at Thursthill Farms

Visit an active working dairy farm milking 85 Holstein cows. The Thurstons have a large family farm with approximately Holstein Cow at Thursthill Farm1200 acres of cropland. You will see the dairy cow herd in their comfortable free-stall barn. The calf barn will also be open to see the young calves. See the cows using the new self-serve robotic milking machine throughout the day. The children will have a chance to meet “Maple” for a hands-on milking experience!

Site F4 -Funfest at Greenshire Eco Farms

Please allow us to show you how we are ‘Growing A Greater Good’. We are demonstrating regenerative farming which is the Greenshire - Leo girl groomingfarming of the future that actually ‘Heals the Earth’ and produces nutrient-dense food. Our hope is that you get ideas to carry into your own and your family’s life to enrich your environment.
Ongoing:  Interactive tours and game in our Forest Garden; Identify wild flowers and edible wild plants – pick your own; Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning and natural horsemanship demos; Visit Smiley & Gloria, our pet pot-bellied pigs; produce available for purchase; winter CSA; pet and groom mini donkey and mini horse.

Site F5 – Horsefest at Valentia Equine Retraining Centre

Valentia Equine Retraining Centre, a registered Not for Profit, gives a second chance for retired race Horsefesthorses that are unwanted or injured. In addition to a walking tour see the horses in their paddocks. We will have a scavenger hunt maze for the little children, kids crafts, horse show, and activities. Pony rides, hot dogs, hamburgers & drinks will be available for an additional fee. Most exhibits are wheelchair accessible. Public washroom is available.

Site F6 – Pumpkinfest at Stellmar Farm
Come see our giant pumpkins and visit our craft shed.  Our farm features a wide selection of pumpkins, squash, gourds, dried flowers, wreaths, fall crafts, gourd art, decorative corn, preserves & tasty pumpkin bread.  Try your hand at
pumpkin painting & guessing the weight of a giant Pumpkinfestpumpkin.  Enjoy samples of pumpkin bread & warm cider, perhaps even learn the secret behind growing the giant pumpkins!  Wheelchair accessible & washroom available.

Site F7 – Alpacafest at Salem Alpacas

Alpacafest is one farm attraction that has something for the whole family to enjoy. There will be guided visits with the Alpacas grazing at Salem Alpaca Farmalpacas, a Master Spinner giving fibre demonstrations, educational displays, videos, kid’s colouring, photo opportunities and more. Learn more about this exotic animal through audio/visual displays on birthing, shearing and alpacas at play. Finely crafted finished articles made from the alpaca fibre will be available for sale. For an additional $5, take part in a 30 minute felting craft workshop available from 10-3.
Ongoing: Spinning demos, hands-on alpaca wool activities, video presentations and alpacas of all colours and ages to see.

Site F8 – Applefest at Dromoland Orchard and Stables

Dromoland is a wonderful experience for families with organic apple orchards, apple products, “Enchanted Fairy Forest”,CH 4 horseback riding, nature and sanctuary, and scenic photography sites. Meet baby chicks and hens; see a sheep and wool spinning demos at 11 & 2; and old fashioned apple cider making. BBQ Oktoberfest sausage and corn on the cob will be available for lunch.  Music in the orchard from 11:30 – 2:00. At 1:30 there will be a presentation about the Climate, What’s Happening and chit Chit Chat by Dave Devall and Steve Jacobs Meterologists & Weathermen formerly with CTV. Purchase to take home products include organic chicken, apple cider, apple products and more!

Site F9 – Veggiefest at Lunar Rhythm Gardens
We have a 5 acre vegetable farm dedicated to growing 75 varieties of vegetables with high tunnels and greenhouses, powered by Calvin, Peg, Mr. Grey & Lenny, four heavy draft horses.  Find out about our Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) vegetable garden program.  We also have a beef cow/calf operation, pigs, miniature horses, meat chickens and laying hens that everyone can visit.  Fresh organic produce will be available for purchase. There will be farm tours of the garden and animals.  See the new cold storage building with a greenhouse and vegetable wash station, and sign up for our Winter CSA.Lunar Rythm heavy horses2
